Almost 17 years!

Can you even believe it? We are the parents to a teenager in high school! When I think back to how many years we have been married, it really feels like a dream. We lost my grandma, who was one of my husband's biggest fans, one year ago. I am so grateful that I was able to share 'A' with my grandma and my grandma with him. They had a great relationship. The joys and challenges of long term relationships are so different than the early days. We have navigated childbirth, infertility, adoption, grief, happiness, raising kids, buying/selling/buying homes together... and now we are navigating getting older together! Alhamdulillah. I have begun to get my first few random gray hairs whereas 'A''s beard is totally gray now. There is so much comfort in making it this far in our marriage, alhamdulillah. May Allah protect us and our families. Ameen.
