Initially...

Ok so, it's a known fact that Dad was totally against me getting married to 'A'.

He had his reasons... they were something along the lines of...

* she's still in school
* she's too young, along with the usual, is she mature enuff?
* we don't know him/his family
* they sort of are from a different area and they sort of have a different
language and food, will she ever be able to adapt?

I'm sure there was a lot of other stuff going through his head...
Because, we all know, Dad can't go long without me...

I mean, ever since the day I was born, and when my mom realized she had worked so hard to give birth to a daughter that looked nothing like her, my dad has always taken some form of pride in having a daughter that looks like him.

My sister is neglected in no way either... though she's only a year younger, she is still the youngest in our family... that comes with perks, too!

So yeah, Dad has always been a little posessive about me...

Anyways, so after turning this poor guy down, almost twice!

A miracle happened and my dad agreed to meet him. There was definitely some forms of drama involved, but thank God it happened!

This might sound a little strange to some people, but because none of us had met him personally till yet, my sis and i thought that it'd be better for our parents to check him out before us. This also goes hand-in-hand with our religious beliefs...

And so, he arrived on May 24th, 2008 and my dad was super excited... right off the bat! He rushed to the airport to pick up 'A' and as soon as he saw him, he called my mom and said that he was impressed.

He was expected to have dinner with my parents and so my sister and I moved in with my grandma for the duration of the weekend...

'A' had dinner with my parents on the day he arrived, Saturday, and I called my mom at 11 pm to find out that he just left and so my mom was way too tired to talk to me and give me all the details!

I was feeling kind of anxious :S... I knew my dad had liked him, but was it enough for this to be headed towards something? I would soon find out.
